House is jealous because he thinks that Wilson is dating (and, okay, financially supporting) a prostitute. And he's jealous because Cuddy is buying baby furniture after successfully applying to be a candidate adoptive parent.
That's right. Emotionally, he's Wilson's boyfriend but Cuddy's child. And this only becomes clearer in this and subsequent seasons.

Date: 2011-05-23 02:07 pm (UTC)Me too! I think the first time I watched this, pre-online fandom, I didn't really "get" what House and Wilson were up to and found their prank war kind of bizarre. Now that I understand the way their friendship works, it makes perfect sense and is truly adorable.
