Parallels

Still catching up on the most recent season of Bones and have noticed a surprising number of parallels with the most recent season of House.

A visit to the loony bin. Onstage karaoke. A lock down.

And Shark Week. No, wait, that wasn't actually on House, it was just the awesome House/Cuddy fic in progress by stenveny . (Yeah, I know. It would have to be pretty awesome for me to embrace that pairing, and it is. And if you haven't read "Coming to Terms," go forth now and do so.)

Also, what is up with the whole ultra-rational-scientist-who-lacks-people-skills-and-due-to-childhood-trauma-doesn't-believe-him/herself-worthy-of-love?

Slightly off-topic, they finally did an X-Files ep (and who are Booth and Bones really besides an updated version of Mulder and Scully?), and one of the Lone Gunmen was a cafe owner in Roswell, squee!

I think I've only ever seen a couple of episodes of Bones, and am not sure why I didn't follow it. Apart from House (and I've only seen most episodes the once), I only really watch the British soaps, alternative comedy shows and far-out documentaries. (Last night it was 'Fat Girls and Feeders'...made me kinda mad.) I just have trouble committing to a show...
As for reading Huddy - I just can't. I know that there is some amazingly well written stuff out there - but it's Huddy. I have no idea why I am so irrational about this, but I am...

Strangely enough, Bones also did a "fat girls and feeders" ep this past season. Hmm, I don't think that's going to help sell you on it...

As for Shark Week etc, no worries. There's definitely some good Huddy fic out there, but I dread seeing it on the show, and I can totally understand why such feelings might preclude reading about it as well...
