Hilarious Vincent Nigel-Murray POV, set in the AU of the Bones S4 finale. Technically this one is Vincent/Wendell, but it's not smutty at all; its power lies in the absolutely spot-on characterization.

Learning Process by toft_froggy 
Early series Zack is the perfect focus for a first-time fic, and when Hodgins agrees to tutor him in dating techniques, the results can only be hilarious. And hot as hell.

Sensate Focus by 5SteamboatsShippingCo
Psychology prodigy Lance Sweets is sure that he could get Booth and Brennan to acknowledge their true feelings if they would just cooperate with his therapeutic techniques. Awesome characterization of Sweets, a solid B plot with Angela and Hodgins, and lots and lots of Booth/Brennan smut scenes (if you care for that sort of thing) in this 30+ chapter story.

I've read exactly one other Bones fic that I really liked; it was about Angela and Hodgins preparing for their baby and featured a blanket (I think) and a discussion about a bunch of bugs. But I can't find it now *shrug*.

I would LOVE to find recs for casefic featuring - and this is very important - excellent characterization.
