That is absolutely in character and indispensable to House's character - unlike many Hilson shippers I don't see House deserting Cuddy once he's committed to her, even if he realises that he'd rather be with Wilson.
This is the problem, right here. As a Hilson, I really wanted a happy ending, but as long as Cuddy's still in the picture? Not gonna happen.

If there's one thing I can do without it's a Huddy baby. I just pray that you're wrong, wrong, wrong ....
I'm okay with the prospect of one, I think, as long as we don't actually have to see them raising it together. But... I reserve the right to change my mind.
