Wow. Just...wow. That scene at the end between House and Wilson was just so...raw with emotion, so intense. What I particularly like about this fic, is how you've really illustrated what I feel to be Wilson's denial and repression finally surfacing. (Of course, I think that Wilson's so far in the closet that he's found Narnia) But in all honesty, I find that Wilson generally tends to be in denial and represses things. (Throughout his marriages he's denied that they were falling apart and repressed any sort of thoughts or feelings that something might be wrong.)

I like the gradual progression of Wilson's realization of his feelings for House. It starts off with merely an uncomfortable feeling, and confusion over why he's feeling that way. Then, he rationalizes that it's because he feels unneeded and left out. While that is definitely true, he still hasn't figured out the entire truth of things yet. He knows that House and Cuddy are incompatible, that they are likely making a rash decision (especially after he finds out about the pregnancy), but still tries to play the part of concerned, good friend, battling with the care he has for the two of them, the unexplainable feeling of dread he's experiencing, and the guilt over said feeling.

You've really captured what I like most about Wilson's character; he's multi-layered, and what appears on the surface of one layer masks the other layers beneath.

As I mentioned earlier, I really liked the last scene, where Wilson finally realizes why he's been feeling the way he's been feeling.

Everything became clear, sharp-edged, and terribly hard, so much so that I had to look away.

This line was particularly powerful; the thought of the physical sensations of Wilson's realization really resonated with me.

And then House grasps his shoulder tightly, Wilson's fingers grabbing House's hand and their shared breath. It's a moment of silence, of tension, a physical expression of the tension that has always existed between them. They constantly draw closer to one another, only to pull away when the other gets too close, and you've really illustrated that with House leaving with no more than two words.

I want this sort of thing to happen on the show.
