A good story is a good story, shouldn't matter about genre.

That's how I tend to feel about it, but I think that a lot of people just read for the slash, and/or for their favorite 'ship. I read for good writing with faithful characterization... faithful to my impressions of the characters anyway, hahaha.

I have way too much in progress right now too.
