Yeah, RSL is, undoubtedly, the King of Deadpan. I had a quick look for that fic I mentioned, but no joy - although, I think it's called 'Weekend in the Poconos'. (What or where is the Poconos BTW?)
And yes - the awkward. The awkward scene at the convention. The awkward scene in the canteen. Even when she was comforting Wilson during the Amber-dying-ark, it seemed awkward. EeeeeeeeeeeK!
